To Churches, Residents and Businesses of Downtown
Albuquerque, the Huning Castle N.A. Association and Raynolds
Addition N.A.

On Sunday, October 18, 2009, approximately 4000 runners and
walkers of the 26th Annual Duke City Marathon event will be in your
area.

From 6 am to 2 pm, the following streets will be closed to traffic:
3rd  St. from Marquette Av. to Central Av.
Central Av. from 2nd St. to Lomas Blvd
Laguna Blvd from Central Av to Kit Carson Av.
Kit Carson Av. from Laguna Blvd to Alcalde Ct.
Alcalde Ct. from Kit Carson Av. to Tingley Dr.

APD officers will be controlling traffic at intersections, and if you
must cross the race course, please ask for an officer’s assistance.

To facilitate the commute Sunday morning, 2nd St. will remain open
for North/South traffic and Lomas Blvd will remain open for
East/West traffic.

Please advise your congregations, customers, and residents of this
possible change to their normal Sunday morning traffic pattern.
And thank you for your cooperation with this 26-year-old
community health and fitness event.

Sincerely,

Duke City Marathon Board of Directors
